MERCILESS DEATH: Debut Album Samples Available
March 20, 2007Two tracks from MERCILESS DEATH's debut album, "Evil in the Night", have been posted on the Heavy Artillery RecordsMySpace page. According to a press release, the preview tracks "Exhumer" and "Ready to Kill" "capture the speed, aggression and musical prowess of thrash legends such as EXODUS, DARK ANGEL and SLAYER, but even more importantly they capture the spirit, an element sorely missing from much of today's modern metal. Completing the big picture, the cover artwork for 'Evil in the Night' features the artistic mastery of legendary metal artist Ed Repka (MEGADETH, VENOM, POSSESSED, DEATH, VIO-LENCE) with what is already being called by many his greatest work in years."
In 2004 MERCILESS DEATH recorded and released its first three-song demo entitled "Annihilate the Masses", which sold out of its pressing of 100 during their first few live appearances. As the band continued to make a name for itself throughout Southern California's club circuit, word spread like wildfire throughout the scene, quickly establishing MERCILESS DEATH as the preeminent leaders of L.A.'s fast-growing contingent of young metal bands. Headlining shows all along the west coast, MERCILESS DEATH have also opened for legendary bands such as OVERKILL, HIRAX, HALLOWS EVE, OMEN and many others.
Look for MERCILESS DEATH on tour during summer 2007.
